A while ago, I made this video. Finally got around to editing it!
My sister got me a Thor bobblehead.
This is what I did with it.
since I’m a serious grown adult, I have a reply for you
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I AM CRYING
My Yoda bobble-head has something to say…
it got better
IT GOT SO MUCH BETTER
An exclusive look at the TFiOS movie set has led to possibly the most adorable facebook album known to man: Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort help keep John Green’s children entertained while dad and mom tour the set.
Oh my goodness. Thank you, new and official tFiOS movie facebook page, for this gift to mankind. Thank you.
As if John isn’t making a cameo in the movie for real, and the Price of Dawn cover contest, and as if you couldn’t win a trip to the movie set yourself… I think Nerdfighteria might explode.
p.s.: this is FYNF’s 10,000th post!! joy and excitement about our blog
- Hole Puncher
- Leather Strips (or String)
- Decorative Materials
To start, grab some carboard and cut out two 7.25” X 5.75” sheets of cardboard (18.415 X 14.605 cm) and one 1.0625” X 7.25” sheet (2.69875 X 18.415 cm). Using a standard 3-hole puncher, punch two holes in the cardboard so we can thread leather straps through them later (ignore the holes on the far right. My cuts weren’t perfectly straight and I wanted the spine and covers to be flush so I had to re-punch holes. Yours should only have the holes around the spine. Tape the sheets together to create the front/back cover and spine.
Tape the outside as well
Take another sheet of cardboard (to make things easier) and create a page template that measures 11” X 7.125” (27.94 X 18.097 cm). Create another template that measures 5.5” X 7.125” (13.97 X 18.097 cm). Take one piece of computer paper (8.5” X 11” or 21.51 X 27.94 cm) and place the template on top of it and trace the template. Trim the paper along the line.
Using the new piece of paper, take the smaller template and tace the template and cut the paper to create two pages for the journal.
Using the hole punch, punch holes in the pages.
Repeat this process until you have the desired number of pages. I used 100 sheets of computer paper to have 400 pages in the journal. To make the process go faster, you can trim five pieces of comp. paper and hole punch ten. It took me about 30 mins to have the pages done.
Next, take some leather strips (or string if you want) and thread it through the holes on the top of the pages. Don’t forget to thread it through the cover as well.
Do the same to the bottom hole and tape the ends of the leather to the spine with tape.
All that’s left to do is decorate your journal. I used Duct Tape and some colored copper wire I had, but you can decorate yours however you want.
Hooray!! You now have your own journal that you can do whatever you want with. Write in it, press leaves, glue pages together, etc. Do whatever you want to it, it’s yours after all.
Hope you had fun making it.
I think a bird fell in the snow and then walked away. I think.
Ummmm…those are small mammal prints, not bird prints. Something cute and fuzzy was hopping along in the snow…a bird came down and killed it a lot.
That’s sad :(
Only 2007 kids will get this.
I joined a little later than 2007 but I watched all the videos and was alive during 2007. So I get it too
